A poor but bright girl from Boochi in Bomachoge Borabu constituency in Kisii County is yet to join form one due to lack of school fees.
Ann Nyamisa said her mother is poor and will not be able to pay for her school fees.
"My father died in 2011 and since then my mother has been struggling to feed me. I sat for my KCPE last year and scored 416 marks. I received an admission letter from Nyabururu Girls National school but, due to lack of school fees my dreams may not come through," she noted.
She has appealed to well-wishers and local leaders to intervene for her to join secondary school.
"I am willing to join any secondary school as long I get someone who will pay for my school fees. I was expecting to be admitted at Starehe but now have been called to Nyabururu, we are poor my mother can't raise my school fees I request well-wishers to assist me to join the school,” she stated.
