Speaking on Wednesday, the commentator noted that most of the leading political figures have personally stained their names with graft and therefore lack the moral authority to speak.

He gave an example of Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) leader Kalonzo Musyoka, noting that the former Vice President should not be heard addressing matters graft.

He alleged that the opposition co-leader is himself fighting corruption allegations with regards to his Yatta home whcih he (Weda) claimed is built on land belonging to the National Youth Service.

"Some of these politicians should stop lecturing us on corruption and confess. People like Kalonzo should not even talk about corruption, his land in Yatta is public land grabbed from the NYS," he said.

Weda was speaking on KBC English Service's The Big Conversation on Wednesday morning.

He was responding to Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko's remarks at the St Stephens ACK Church in Nairobi on Sunday, where the Governor urged politicians to clean their names first before accusing others of being corrupt.

Weda noted that some of the politicians fuelling the war on graft are hiding behind the fact that their bad deeds are being forgotten to push for others thought to be corrupt as well.

"Most of the politicians we are seeing today speaking about corruption are corrupt, its ibky that their scandals happened long ago," added Weda.
