Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen and Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi on Saturday moved mourners in Elgeyo-Marakwet with a Kalenjin song.
The two leaders took into podium to celebrate the death of Murkomen's former aide Benson Kiptire with a song titled 'All our troubles we leave them to Jesus'.
In the video posted by Mr Murkomen, the two are seen easily singing the song as an overwhelmed crowd look on. Kiptire was assassinated by unknown people last month.
After the song, Murkomen poked holes into President Uhuru Kenyatta's government, accusing it of condoning assassinations and extra-judicial killings.
He insisted that the routes the government has taken will not solve Kenya's problems. He pleaded with Uhuru to take charge and rescue the country.
"Benson is lying there because it's a demonstration of a failure of system of government that was supposed to support the rule of law.My message to President Uhuru Kenyatta and I am very clear in my mind.
"Security will not be managed in the country through assassinations and extra-judicial killings. It won't solve any problem in this country. We should not allow people who run the security system to accept a procedure that is a process in solving problems," he said.
Murkomen, a staunch supporter of Deputy President William Ruto, has lately been contradicting the position of the very government he serves at a senior rank.
