Fourteen former Members of parliament have been shortlisted as the persons who will represent Kenya at the East Africa Legislative Assembly(EALA).
According to National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi, 75 candidates have already picked the application form with only 34 of them having duly filled the form for consideration.
Thursday is the deadline date set for each of the candidates to submit their duly filled application form.
Among the big names in the applicants’ list are Moses Ole Sakuda, Danson Mungatana, Kalembe Ndile, Mpuri Aburi, Ibrahim Saney, Simon Mbugua, Dorcas Kedogo, Zipporah Kering, Mohamed Sheikh Adan, Members of EALA Mumbi Ngaru, Joseph Kiangoi, Abdi Ogle, Nancy Abisai and Saoli ole Nkanae have also expressed an interest to extend their terms at the regional assembly.
NASA leader Raila Odinga's brother Oburu Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka's son are also on the list of candidates seeking the position.
