Controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna has questioned the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) over arrest and charging of Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru and ex-Standard Group journalist Mwaniki Munuhe over National Youth Service (NYS) money.
In a tweet on Tuesday night, the exiled lawyer called on the EACC to move in and act on the letter submitted to them.
''To the @EACCKenya: You received this letter on December 4, 2019 about how MWANIKI MUNUHE and @AnneWaiguru stole BILLIONS of PUBLIC money via the NYS. What have done about it? When are you ARRESTING and CHARGING Munuhe and Waiguru? We will not rest until all cartels are in jail,'' said Miguna Miguna.
According to a letter from an 'anonymous concerned citizen,' the EACC was asked to investigate Mwaniki Munuhe.
‘’I would like to bring to your attention the matter of a well-known journalist known as Mwaniki Munuhe, who has turned in to be a billionaire in just two years,’’ reads part of the letter.
Mwaniki was named in the explosive NYS scandal by one of the suspects Josephine Kabura.
Kabura in one of her affidavits noted that she delivered Sh10 million from Waiguru to Mwaniki in cash.
According to the 'anonymous concerned citizen,' the suspect has accumulated a vast wealth even after quitting his job as a Standard Editorial Team staff member.
