Nyamira Senator Okong'o Omogeni has shocked locals after threatening to resign from his post if the area Governor John Nyagarama won’t be accountable for the funds that the County have been receiving.
According to Omogeni, the County boss has not showed the people of Nyamira any tangible projects that he has initiated using the County development funds since.
Speaking in Nyamira on Tuesday morning, the senator said that he will ensure that he puts him Governor on toes by ensuring that the senate summons him so that he would explain how he has been utilizing County funds.
“I have been on a tour in the County keenly visiting proposed projects by the County boss but unfortunately there is no project that I can see going on.
"I am not ready to be grouped among the failures of Nyagarama and that may lead to my resignation," said Omogeni
His sentiments comes at a time the senate has already listed John Nyagarama as one of the Governor who is supposed to be grilled by PAC committee over loss of funds through projects that have not been initiated.
