Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has thanked his legal team, family, relatives and friends for supporting him during the fight to retain his seat.
This is after the Supreme Court upheld the Court of Appeal’s decision that said Owino was validly elected.
The MP, whose real name is Paul Ongili, said that his victory the apex court belongs to the electorate.
He also said that he is proud of the team that saw his election upheld after Justice Isaac Lenaola ruled that his election of reflected the will of the people of Embakasi East.

High Court Judge Joseph Sergon had in March nullified Owino’s win on the grounds that it was marred by illegalities and irregularities.
The decision was challenged at the Court of Appeal which confirmed that the MP was validly elected, a position the Supreme Court affirmed on Friday.
