The student said to be in his early twenties was forced to pay the debt by a group of fellow students who had been contacted by the vendor who claimed 'lecturer' had refused to pay and threatened to take everything.

Vincent Korir, one of the business student in the second year, who happens to have been at the 'scene of the crime' narrated how the drama began.

"We had just finished our morning class and we proceeded to our residential apartments as usual only to be confronted by Mama Kevoo (name of the vendor) claiming that somebody was busy packing her vegetables without any signs paying," said Korir.

Eager to see the victim, Korir with his team went to the site where the woman usually operates only to find their fellow classmate busy loading his bag with the vegetables.

"We were shocked to see 'lecturer' busy packing the vegetables and immediately we intervened the situation," Korir revealed.

When queried, the student said he had an order to which nobody understood, but eventually, the vegetables he had packed were recovered and forced to pay Sh10, the cost he had agreed to buy.

"We recovered the vegetables he was about to escape with and made him pay the ones he had agreed to buy costing Sh10," Korir said.
