The name of ex-Bonchari MP John Opore dominated during a meeting attended by a section of Bonchari youths on Saturday who had gathered to discuss the current state of the constituency leadership.
The youths kept on mentioning Opore's name saying despite him serving as MP in Bonchari without tangible development he valued youths a lot.
"Despite the fact that Opore didn't perform to meet expectations of Bonchari people, he used to look for job opportunities for youths in the constituency unlike the current MP Mr. John Oyioka who has failed to engage youths," said Bonny Gwachi.
According to Gwachi, Mr. Opore had good job connections but, Mr. Oyioka is only interested in walking around with old people who can't advise him.
"We should celebrate Opore for what he used to do for our youths which I'm sure Oyioka will never do," he added.
Newton Omweri said as much as leadership change was needed in Bonchari, Opore remains an icon.
"We are missing Mr. Opore because Oyioka has failed to value our youths and empower them or look for jobs," said Omweri.
Kelvin Orero urged Oyioka to ensure he is looking for job networks to reward the youths of Bonchari.
