This follows reports that the county chief recently spent county funds amounting to Sh30 million to supply condoms to county health facilities in the county.

The move has been condemned by the house which is now accusing the Governor of failing to address the county residents' real problem.

Led by Majority Leader Leonard Mwaniki, the Members of County Assembly (MCAs) have accused the Governor of switching condoms with medical drugs which the residents direly need.

“It is sad that residents are in need of drugs but the county has the audacity to ferry a canter full of condoms to the health facilities,” he is quoted by the Citizen Digital.

During a sitting on Wednesday, the latter who doubles up as the Kiambere Ward representative accused the Governor of insincerity.

He claimed that Wambora fooled residents when he purportedly flagged off the truck of medicine, only to be later discovered to be a consignment of condoms.

However, the attacks were opposed by Nominated MCAs Agnes Wanjiru who argued that condoms are also medical supplies.

The second time Governor is not new to controversy, and has repeatedly survived impeachment attempts by the members.
