Residents of Magwagwa in Nyamira County were left in a rude shock on Thursday after a sex worker beat and injured a man following a squabble over Sh200.
Witnesses said Jackline Kemunto was with Amos Achuti at a local pub consuming beer, when they engaged in a heated quarrel.
"Achuti was at the pub with the woman consuming beer when the woman demanded Sh200 ," said a pub attendant, Rosabella Kwamboka
Ms Kwamboka said Kemunto, who was drunk, kicked Achuti's manhood and fled from the pub in fear of her life.
"Achuti's manhood was severely clobbered. First aid was administered on him before he was rushed to Nyamira hospital," she stated.
Area assistant chief Duncan Mwabora condemned the incident, adding that it was shameful.
"This is not the first time the sex worker is attacking a man over money. She is dangerous to continue being condoned in the area," he said.
He assured that the woman is being traced to be arrested.
Mwabora warned men against spending more money buying alcohol with women while their children and wives are suffering.
