Garissa Township MP Aden Dula has downplayed claims of tensions between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto.
Duale maintains that there is no discord between the president and his deputy.
According to Duale, some politicians are praying for a fall-out between Uhuru and Ruto in order for them (politicians) to revive their ‘dying’ political careers.
Speaking to journalists in Garissa Town on Monday, Duale said that those praying for Uhuru and Ruto to part ways will wait forever.
He said that the president and his deputy are will remain united beyond 2022.
“We know people who are praying for the president and his deputy to fall out and for the Jubilee Party to collapse,” Duale said.
The National Assembly Leader of Majority said that the president and his deputy are focused on development.
“The president and his deputy will not listen or pay attention to the nonsense being spread out by petty politicians, bloggers, and analysts,” he said.
Duale asked petty politicians trying to cause rifts between the president and his deputy to find something else to do.
He urged Kenyans to continue supporting the Jubilee government as it seeks to fulfill its development agenda.
There have been claims of a possible fallout between President Kenyatta and his deputy in relation to the 2022 succession politics.
