The artist says that he prefers being real to faking lifestyle for popularity that will ruin his name at a later stage, after his death.

While speaking in a recent interview by Burundi-based media Fanny which was shared on YouTube on Thursday, King Kiba said he has been acting real unlike most of other Bongo artists.

"It is better to die while am respected than die when people are talking bad about me, people lowering my respect.. (Ni vizuri nife, ni bora nife nikiwa naheshimika kuliko kufa halafu watu wataniongelelea vibaya, wamekushusha dhamani)," said King Kiba

He noted that most stars are currently faking lifestyle, creating scandals and such so that they earn themselves music mileage, precisely popularity.

King Kiba added that most artists are loved and highly celebrated for faking lifestyle, whereas those who act real are never given much airtime they deserve.

"It is like people don't like it when you are real, or rather they don't give attention until you lie to them, but for me I prefer being real, I speak and do my things which are positive. (Ukiwa mkweli kidogo ni kama hawapendi, ama hawawezi kufuatilia, mpaka uadanganye, lakini kiukweli mimi napenda kuwa real, niongee vitu vyangu, nifanya mambo yangu ambayo yako very positive)," he noted.
