Visiting British Prime Minister Theresa May and an entire delegation in State House could not hold their laughter when President Uhuru Kenyatta forget the name of Foreign Secretary.
While taking questions from journalists, President Uhuru could not recall the second name of Boris Johnson thus referring to him as 'bicycle guy'
“Last year if you recall the Foreign Secretary then, Boris...erm...Boris...Boris Johnson...the bicycle guy was here," Uhuru said amid laughter in the crowd.
Mr. Johnson was used to cycling in London thus the nickname by his supporters in Britain.
At State House, May signed deals with Uhuru mostly in security, business and manufacturing sectors.
The last time a sitting PM visited Kenya was in 1988 when Margaret Thatcher toured the country and Uhuru, said he looks forward for such visits.
"Yes, it’s been 30 years plus. I don’t want to dwell on the past, but we are looking to the future and we welcome the PM today and I’m sure as we’ve discussed this is the first of hopefully many visits in the future," Uhuru said.
The President departs the country Thursday for China just barely a week after his Washington DC trip.
