Speaking Tuesday as the celebrations kicked off, Duale fired more shots at the Chief Kadhi and warned him against weighing in on issues that are not within his purview.

He also maintained that he intends to have the Kadhi ousted as he had tried to divide Muslims.

"The Chief Kadhi should tell us which is his Mount Arafa, the only Mount Arafa is the only one outside the holy city of Mecca. We are telling the Chief Kadhi, 'You are out of order and you cannot divide the Muslim Umma in Kenya. We will not allow you to do that!" Duale fired.

The outspoken lawmaker said that he would write to the Judicial Service Commission over the Chief Kadhi's conduct.

Duale's strong words come on the heels of a blistering series of tweets against the Kadhi.

The Garissa Township MP is the highest-ranking Muslim leader to weigh in on the vexed issue of Idul al-Adha date.
