Aggressive clashes erupted in Paris after Yellow Vest protestors or 'gilet jaunes' joined a climate change demonstration.
The clash which involved the riot police, Yellow Vest protestors and anti-capitalist activist led to many demonstrators ending up behind bars.
39 of the hundreds of protestors who concurred to assemble themselves at various points in the French capital were arrested.
The police had to use truncheons, tear gas together with shields as they tried to push back the ever compelling protest.
Anti- Capitalist protestors were clad in black with random ones among them having their faces masked. Fortunately, the security operation was well beefed earlier enough to help counter the event of protestors clashing with the climate change march.
Motorcycles were burned, eliminating an unbearable cloud of smoke that tinted parts of Paris black.
A nearby bank had its front windows crashed. A similar event also happened to an estate agent's window which was smashed. Some of the protestors weren't any lucky as the painful truncheons landed on their bodies.
Despite being accused of being too heavy-handed, the police used tear gas and truncheons to disperse protestors.
The Yellow Vest, Gilet Jaunes movement came into being as a force to combat the weekly increasing prices. It was started last year in November and ever since it has transformed into weekly protests aimed at communicating the need for a decentralized government and tax cut from the government.
On the other side, the "March for climate change" was organized by both Greenpeace and several NGOs.
Speaking to French Media, Le Monde, a random protestor said that it's from the pressing injustice that they continue to protest.
He also said that the Yellow Vest was creating a "bad image"
