More leaders from Kisii County have supported the historic handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA Leader Raila Odinga.
The leaders led by Bosire Angwenyi, who doubles as the Kisii elders chairman said the handshake has been fruitful.
"As elders from Gusii region, we are pleased with fruits the handshake has brought. Politicians who have not accepted the handshake should accept and move on," said Angwenyi.
Mr. Angwenyi said DP Ruto's aides should accept the handshake.
"Ruto's aides should accept that the handshake is working and stop jumping up and down. Uhuru and Raila should traverse the country to preach peace and launch development projects," he added.
Samuel Nyangeso, a former Kisii town mayor said the handshake should not scare anyone.
NASA and Jubilee leaders need to support Raila and Uhuru's peace Building Bridges Initiative (BBI). We want every Kenyan to feel the handshake," he said.
Rachael Otundo reiterated that the handshake has seen Jubilee and NASA politicians teaming up to fight graft.
"Leaders should continue extending the handshake since we have seen its importance and focus more on development," she stated.
