Okuthe alleged that he has been threatened thrice, the latest such incident being in Mombasa recently.

The latter has linked the threat on his life to his recent win against the Governor over a property row.

He said that an unknown person recently trailed him to Mombasa to attend to another family property case and warned him to go slow on his moves against the Governor.

“A stranger approached me at the hotel where I was staying in Mombasa and warned me to go slow on the cases against the Nyong'o's," he is quoted by the Nation.

This comes a month after Okuthe and Geoffrey Omondi defeated the Governor and his sister Risper Nyagoy in a multimillion land case at the Kisumu High Court.

Justice Tripsisa Cherere agreed with the petitioners that the Governor and Nyagoy must include the names of their nephews in the list of beneficiaries.

The property in question includes a 100 acre piece of land in Miwani, Kisumu County and other parcels of land in Kisumu left by Nyong'o's father Shimei Nyong'o.

Mr Shimei brought up the two (Okuthe and Omondi) after the death of their parents, before his (Shimei) death on November 10, 2006.

Shimei never left behind any will.
