Kisumu Governor Anyang' Nyong'o has congratulated his wife Dorothy Nyong'o following her major win at the Harvard University.
Dorothy who doubles up as the county First Lady, was on Monday named among winners in the Global Health Catalyst Awards.
In a tweet, the prof lauded his wife for bagging the 2019 Harvard Global Health Catalyst Cancer Advocacy Champion Award.
He further lauded the Global Health Organization for recognizing the good job his wife is doing towards the realization of a cancer free world.
A part from being the County First Lady, Dorothy also serves as a Foundation Managing Trustee at the Africa Cancer Foundation (ACF).
"Congratulations honey! ( Dorothy Nyong'o) for winning the 2019 Harvard Medical School and Global Health Organization Catalyst Cancer Advocacy Champion Award, in recognition of her limitless efforts in the war against cancer through the Africa Cancer Foundation where she sits as the Foundation's Managing Trustee," he tweeted on Monday.
The Global Health Catalyst (GHC) is a yearly summit where nominees for the awards are picked and voted for by the Harvard GHC.
Also involved in the voting are winners who bagged the award previously.
Dorothy is the mother to famed Hollywood actress and Oscar Awards winner Lupita Nyong'o.
