The Ministry of Education has revealed that results for the concluded Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education(KCSE) exams will be out before the end of the year.
According to Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed, the date for the released of the results will soon be announced by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
She noted that the over 600, 000 students who sat their final paper this year can rest assured that they will have their results before the forthcoming Christmas celebrations.
“President Uhuru Kenyatta will announce the date when the results will be released,” she was quoted by the Nation on Wednesday.
Amina noted that the move is aimed at giving parents the needed time to prepare their children to join secondary school early next year.
This will be slightly similar to last year where the results were out on December 20.
This year's marking for the 664, 585 is expected to begin on December 3.
Confirming the remarks, Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) Chair George Magoha called for preparedness among parents, cautioning them against overspending during the festive season.
"We want parents to plan in advance so that they do not use all the money on Christmas and forget to plan for school fees of their children,” he is quoted.
