Deputy President William Ruto has promised to solve the issue of title deeds in Langas, Kapseret Constituency which has been a big problem for ages.
Speaking during the burial ceremony of Mzee Joseph Karubiu Murithi in Yamumbi village, Kapseret sub-county on Friday, Ruto said by next year, Langas residents will get their title deeds.
“President Uhuru Kenyatta and I talked with political leaders from Kapseret Constituency regarding the issue of title deeds which has remained unsolved for many decades but there are some people who took as to court and stopped the process,” said Ruto.
“I want to assure you that Langa's title deeds will be given with or without a court order stopping the process. We are working with all stakeholders to ensure it does not go beyond one year. We have heard your cry and we will ensure you have this crucial document,” added the DP.
Ruto reiterated that the Jubilee government has all it takes to ensure that those who don’t have title deeds in Uasin Gishu County get them.
He noted that in the last seven years, the Jubilee administration has given out 4 million title deeds and they will continue giving more.
