The upcoming Kibra constituency by-election scheduled for November 7th continues to cause a strong wave of division in the National Super Alliance (NASA)
This is after the three main parties ODM, ANC and FORD-Kenya which forms part of the coalition fielded their own candidates in the already much heated political contest.
The campaign teams from the parties have since been engaging in ugly public spats thus openly dividing in the coalition which was strong and solid before and even after the 2017 general elections.
On Saturday while addressing a press conference, Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi dismissed claims by ODM members that Kibra their stronghold.
“Kibra cannot be anyone’s doormat as is being suggested. Nor is it anyone’s private property, their house or their bedroom," Mudavadi said as quoted by the Standard Digital.
Vihiga MP Alfred Agoi who is Mudavadi's ally further said that Raila should payback for their support in the past general elections in 2022.
“We sacrificed a lot to have Raila where he is, even as he enjoys State largesse. When it comes to 2022, we hope he will look at our input and payback,” said Agoi.
ODM has fielded the late MP Ken Okoth's brother Imran Okoth as ANC is being represented by former ODM Raila ally Eliud Owalo.
Khamisi Butichi is representing FORD-Kenya party in the coming Kibra mini polls.
