Amani National Congress (ANC) Party Leader Wycliffe Musalia Mudavadi on Wednesday represented Kenya as the amateur golfer at Karen Golf Club in which he competed in the Pro-Am event.

Golf is a widely known game played by prominent leaders across the world. Former President Mwai Kibaki was one of Kenya's golf-loving leaders during his time as the head of state.

Mudavadi who has been on record urging the government to support the sport since it unites people across nations.

Taking to his twitter handle on Wednesday evening, the ANC Leader showed his joy representing team Kenya.

"It was a pleasure to compete in the Pro-Am event representing team Kenya as an amateur golfer at the Karen Golf Club.." he tweeted.

He further noted that Golf open competition has been made to be part of the European Tour and will hence attract a huge number of professionals and interested leaders who play in the United States of America and Europe.

"The open is now part of the European Tour and attracts a huge number of professionals who play in both the European and America's PGA Tour," he added.

The ANC leader has been pushing the government to recognize and support the young people and especially sports as it has turned to be one of the most well-paying professions in the world.
