Residents who stay next to Christ Ambassadors  Kisii behind Elimu Center in Kisii town are crying for help following open raw sewage which has been flowing there without any action from the authority despite seeking help.

Speaking to the residents, they expressed their fears of being infected and the sewage moving into their rented houses especially this season when rains have started.

"I have stayed here for one year and this sewage is a disaster to us. You cannot comfortably eat with a visitor in the house for its smell is bad. Rains have started and we are fearing it might overflow into our houses because we are downstream. Our children are falling sick especially in the morning this area is no go zone," Sadly narrated Charles Mosoti a caretaker.

"Children have turned the area into a playing ground when we are away and we are fearing they might drink the sewage. We are fearing they might contract skin disease which is highly risky," Said James Arasa a resident.

They are now appealing to the ministry of environment and GWASCO to help them.

"We are unable to welcome visitors into our houses because of the smell. We are unable to eat. We have developed breathing difficulties. We ask the relevant Authority especially Kisii County to help us clear this mess from here," Pleaded Arasa.
