Homa Bay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga has asked leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto to respect President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga.
In recent weeks, the team allied to DP Ruto, commonly referred to as Tangatanga have been accusing Raila of having hidden personal motives with the Building Bridges Initiative.
But Wanga now wants Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen and his team to desist from allegedly insulting Raila and Uhuru citing that she could not insult Ruto.
“I want to warn Murkomen and his group against insulting Uhuru and Raila because even I cannot insult Ruto,” she said.
Wanga was speaking on Friday at her backyard where she flagged off several students for NITA training. Rachael Shebesh had accompanied her.
Earlier on Friday, Murkomen had claimed that there are plans to heckle Tangatanga members who have expressed interest in attending Mombasa BBI rally.
“I have been threatened that if I attend the Mombasa BBI meeting I shall be humiliated by being denied a seat, not being allowed to talk or even if I am allowed to talk I shall be heckled. If that’s what it takes to unite this country so be it and I am ready to absorb. Tukutane Mombasa,” tweeted Murkomen.
