Raila's ODM party lost both seats, a situation Pkosin says was led by his laziness in search of the votes.

Speaking to the Sunday Nation, the close ally of William Ruto wondered how the former Prime Minister expected his candidates to win yet he has stopped appealing to his supporters at the grassroots level.

He advised Raila to expect the same should he vie for the presidency in the 2022 general elections adding that he has taken the backseat on political matters which is bringing him out as a man depending on some endorsement.

Pkosin noted that Odinga has gone silent and seems not interested in the vote, especially in the populous Mt Kenya and Rift Valley regions which could make his future ambitions and mere dream.

“In Kiswahili we say ‘safari ya kesho hupangwa leo' (tomorrow’s journey is planned today). Baba has taken the electorate in his backyard for granted and has even stopped endearing himself to voters in other parts of the country, especially in the populous Rift Valley and Central Kenya regions.

So how does he expect his political star to rise, unless of course, he is waiting for endorsement to run for the presidential seat," he posed.

Raila has remained silent on his 2022 plans, saying that his only interest now is to steer the national unity campaign.
