The ideological differences between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto could escalate when the former visits Gusii this Wednesday.
The president is scheduled to launch a serious of projects in Kisii and Nyamira Counties with Oncology center in Kisii likely to be the culmination of his tour.
But former Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire says Uhuru's visit will be an embarrassment to DP Ruto, insisting that the country's second in command has been launching ghost projects.
"We are even likely to have a scenario where Uhuru will openly question the conduct of his deputy. He has been launching several ghost projects which remain stalled.
"These are some of the issues Uhuru must look at. Some of these projects were launched several years ago and non is yet to officially kick off," said the ODM treasurer.
Among those launched by Ruto but are yet to start include Bonyunyu Dam, Kemera-Magombo-Amabuko (not completed), Kemera-Gachuba-Keumbu, Sh100 million to Keroka District Hospital and the last mile connectivity.
In Kisii County, a KMTC construction that was flagged off by Ruto at Ibeno is yet to start three years later, further putting the credibility of the DP under test, Bosire said.
A fortnight ago, Matiang'i who is set to accompany the President, said he was concerned with numerous stalled projects, warning MPs against failing to work with the president.
"We know the projects and circumstances under which they were launched. We shall however ensure we work with the president up conclusions," he observed.
