Mr Stanley Motanya, who hails from Kibra, has been driving around 40 kids from the neighborhood without any charge to their various schools thus attracting the attention of international media.

In an exclusive interview, Mr Motanya says he was precipitated to join the course when he found it difficult to get someone to take his child who suffers from disability to school.

"These children undergo a lot of challenges. I could not find someone to drive my kid to school do I decided to do it alone. A few parents approached me and I just decided to help them," he said.

"It's not easy because at times they fight and some sitting is a problem. However, I must ensure they are all okay. I usually make two trips to school and two in the evening," he said, adding that he does it for free.

The middle aged man then narrates how his child developed complications only to later fail to give speeches or walk by herself. He says living with disabled is a challenge but it ought to be embraced

"My child was born normal. She could walk and talk. One day, all these could not happen. Her life changed completely. That's how I got myself into this," he recalls.

In Kenya, People Living With Disability have been given a special place in the society with their representation always paramount in the private and public sectors.
