The legislator wondered why the county government could be giving priority to discussing the BBI report yet the families are allegedly starving at Nyasasa primary school.

"The displaced families have camped within Nyasasa primary school compound. Big, small, old and young sleep in shifts on the plain sheets supplied by the Red Cross. Neither the county government nor the National government has aided them. They are starving and in deep cold," said the MP on Friday at Nyasasa area.

The youthful lawmaker further claimed that the county wants to spend Sh9 million meant for such aids to organize for a 'consultative meeting over BBI report.

"It is a shame that the county plans to bring 'delegates' from each sub-county to 'consult' on BBI on the 11th January 2020 yet people are starving at a school compound with schools set to re-open next week. The common man can die at Nyasasa while the county is planning to bring delegates together to discuss BBI. We are truly a confused society," he lamented.
