The vocal politician while speaking in Nyamira town on Wednesday, however, asked the president not succumb to pressure from cartels to stop the war on corruption.

"I am a happy politician with President Kenyatta's stand on the fight against graft. It is not the time for NASA or Jubilee politics but time for joining hands to fight impunity. Uhuru has my support in the graft war," said the NASA politician.

Swanya who is also the Wiper Party Vice Chairman dismissed claims that the ongoing crackdown on corruption is targeting one community.

"Corruption is for an individual but not a community. Individuals from various parastatals being arrested must not link their community to their tribulations. Let them carry their own cross," he noted.

He urged MPs from Jubilee and NASA coalition to back Kenyatta's efforts to fight corruption so that public funds can be used appropriately.

"State officers must be accountable for public resources. Elected MPs allied to Jubilee and NASA must wake up and fight corruption. Offices of the DCI, EACC and the DPP should not be politicized in the graft war," Swanya added.
