An M-Pesa performance report released by Safaricom has placed the payment system in the league of the world's busiest payment companies.
Kenyans reportedly transact 15 billion on the system daily.
In a single second, the mobile money system makes 900 transactions up from 320 in 2015.
M-Pesa users in the country now stand at 21 million,a three million increase over the last one year.
The significant progress has been attributed to the movement of its servers from Germany to Kenya and upgrade of the overall operating system.
"Currently, 14 million transactions are processed daily after the upgrade of our operating system in 2015," indicated the report.
The system technicians recently increase the seconds a sender would take to confirm the recipient from 15 to 20 seconds.
Over 900 business premises make requests to have the payment system incorporated into their business operations every month.
