The county government has procured medical equipment worth Sh15 million.

The equipment will be distributed to 15 health facilities across the county, Governor Hassan Joho said on Friday.

"I have flagged off medical equipment worth Sh15 million to be distributed to over 15 health facilities within the county," he said.

"Our sincere gratitude goes out to the Global Fund through Kenya Red Cross for the generous donation of the maternal health equipment . We will continue to foster such strategic and productive partnerships for the benefit of the residents of Mombasa."

He said the county government will prioritize the development of the health sector.

Joho said without a healthy population, it would be hard to realize economic development.
