Popular Kenyan gospel musician Bahati is on the spot after allegations emerged that he had a hand in the latest arrest of former EMB producer Paulo by the police.
Producer Paulo is reported to have been arrested alongside musician Peter Blessing on Saturday night before being released on an Sh10,000 bond the next day.
This was the second time that Bahati had allegedly called for the producer to be arrested.
Reports indicate that the arrest came after producer Paul allegedly supported Peter Blessing's bid to leave EMB records; something which Bahati is said to have not taken kindly.
According to Producer Paulo's lawyer Mr Kioko, Bahati had accused the producer of tarnishing his name.
"Bahati and Weezdom showed up at the police station, claiming the producer was going around spoiling his name in media interviews, yet they had agreed before that he wasn’t supposed to talk about the first arrest and what happened anywhere," Mr Kioko stated.
The lawyer further revealed that the producer was also accused of stealing equipment from EMB records.
"I was told he stole studio equipment from Bahati, but according to several sources, the singer gave Paulo the equipment when he was upgrading the EMB studio," he added.
The reports of Producer Paulo's arrest come shortly after Peter Blessing opened up and revealed that Bahati had also gotten him arrested after he indicates that he wanted to leave EMB records.
