Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has claimed that allies of Deputy President William Ruto have been frustrating President Uhuru Kenyatta’s fight against graft.
Speaking during his installation as a Sabaot elder at Kapsokwony in Mt Elgon on Saturday, Moi said that recent actions of the leaders allied to the DP have been a thorn in the flesh of the president in the war against corruption.
He reiterated that Ruto needs to tame his allies or else Uhuru will not achieve his desire.
The KANU chairman also asked all leaders to support the president in ending graft in different dockets.
“We are currently on a very delicate journey and we must support the president…in 2022 let God’s will be done, for now let us work for Kenyans,” said Moi, as quoted by Citizen Digital.
“Sell your policies in a proper manner and if Kenyans agree then they will vote for you…there’s no need of this back and forth and threats; there are some people who cannot be threatened,” he added.
Following renewed fight against graft, a section of politicians allied to Ruto had claimed that investigative agencies were unfairly targeting pubic officers from one community, with a motive of hurting the DP's 2022 presidential bid.
