Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has cautioned politicians from across the political divide, against perpetuating political divisions and hatred.
Sonko instead wants politicians to focus on delivering the promises they made to their electorate.
Speaking in Machakos Town on Thursday, he said Kenyans want service delivery, and are not interested in divisive politics.
The governor noted that he will continue fighting for service delivery not only in Nairobi but also across the country.
“Our ‘Team Wanjiku’ will continue to advance the interests of Mwananchi across the country, even as we fully support President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Big Four agenda in order to ensure he succeeds in his promises to Kenyans,” he posted on his Facebook.
The Nairobi county boss promised to continue championing for the rights of the less fortunate members of society, and ensure they get justice and equal rights across the country.
Sonko later attended a court session involving locals and the area county government at the Machakos law courts.
Governor Sonko’s visit to Machakos comes days after his counterpart Dr Alfred Mutua visited Nairobi and slammed him for neglecting Dedan Kimathi and Tom Mboya statutes.
Governor Mutua promised to renovate the statutes.
