Simba SC player Francis Kahata has tipped Gor Mahia to make a comeback at the Stade Des Martyrs De La Pentecote in Kinshasa, Congo during the second leg of the CAF tie against DC Motema Pembe.
The Congolese side drew 1-1 away to Gor in the CAF Confederation Cup, giving Steven Polack's men a tough task ahead of the second leg on Sunday.
However, Kahata told Goal that he’s confident his former side have everything needed to advance to the semi-finals.
"It was unfortunate they could not win on Sunday, they played well but were punished after making an avoidable mistake. It is not lost, they have a good squad that is capable of winning away. I am confident they will get a win and qualify for the next stage," he said.
Ahead of the first leg, there were question marks about the absence of key player Joash Onyango and his commitment to the team, but Kahata believes K’Ogalo's experienced players will help the team on Sunday.
“Gor have players who have been in the game for quite some time, and it is a plus for them. The likes of Joash [Onyango], Muguna [Kenneth] will have a vital role to play," Kahata noted.
The reigning Kenya Premier League champions are expected to jet out for DR Congo on Friday, one day before the final showpiece.
