Sirisia MP John Waluke has dared the Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai to withdraw his security.
His sentiments come following the announcement by the IG that all VIPs facing criminal charges in court will have their security withdrawn.
They will also have to surrender their firearms.
However, according to the lawmaker, the government should make good its threat to withdraw his security saying that it doesn't bother him.
"Mine ( his security) has not been withdrawn but even if they go ahead, it is still okay. I am not worried, in any case, I normally walk around minus security," the legislator stated.
Waluke, a second-term lawmaker is a key political ally of DP Ruto.
The MP's remark comes at a time when a section of politicians have been denied State's security detail.
However, Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu has dismissed the assertion saying that the move by the IG is not targeting any specific individual from any political divide.
