Kibicho and Interior CS Fred Matiangi led about 30 MPs to a fundraiser in Ndia, which turned chaotic after nominated MP Maina Kamanda refused to acknowledge Deputy President William Ruto as President Uhuru Kenyatta's partner.

Kamanda also heaped praises on ODM leader Raila Odinga for his union with Uhuru under the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), which angered the crowd.

When the heckling intensified, an angry Kibicho lost his cool, took the microphone and demanded for normalcy, telling those "who were not interested in what was being said to leave the venue".

He also accused them of acting primitive, expressing disappointment that a function he had organized and invited leaders from across the political divide was being turned into a political battlefront.

Similar conduct was displayed by Matiang'i, who told off some allows of Ruto who have been accusing Kibicho of undermining Ruto.

He said that whoever is unhappy with what happens in the office of the president should direct their anger to him (Matiangi) and Uhuru, but leave Kibicho out of it.

"I take full responsibility for any action by the security team, never touch my PS, don't blame him for any political problem within and without government. Kenya has only one President-Uhuru Kenyatta-who we receive instructions from. Any action taken by the security personnel is as a result of presidential directive," he said.

Leaders who attended the Kirinyaga function also delved into the BBI politics, especially the debate on whether or not the BBI suggestions should be subjected to a referendum.

Kiambu Woman Representative Gathoni Wamuchomba suggested that only a referendum can bring genuine outcome, saying that the Parliament can easily be manipulated.

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria rooted for the use of the Parliament.

Other leaders present included area Governor Anne Waiguru, Hassan Joho (Mombasa), Mutahi Kahiga (Nyeri) and Kirinyaga Woman Representative Wangui Ngirici.
