Controversial Kenyan gospel singer Wilson Abubakar Radido popularly known as Willy Pail is approximately 3000 subscribers away from being the most popular Kenyan artiste on YouTube.
The 'Shado Mado' hitmaker is currently ranking at number two with 321,792 subscribers while sensational Kenyan boy band Sauti Sol are leading with 323,917 subscribers.
The gap between Willy Paul has narrowed down significantly with Will Paul managing to cross the 300,000 subscribers mark less than a month ago. Sauti Sol, on the other hand, has been leading from as early as last year.
Willy Paul's huge strides in gaining subscribers can be credited to the collabos that he has been having with artistes out of Kenya.
Some of his collabos that have earned Willy Paul millions of views on You Tube include those ones with; Alaine, Nandy, Rayvanny and Harmonize. These collabos have earned him extra subscribers and fans outside Kenya. Willy Paul is expected to overtake Sauti Sol as he recently revealed that he will soon be releasing a collabo with Tanzanian star singer Alikiba.
Sauti Sol, on the other hand, seems not to be in a hurry of producing hit songs bu instead are focused on naturing young talents through their recently established Sol Generation Academy.
Both Sauti Sol and Willy Paul have been active in the Kenyan Music industry for over 8 years now.
