Machakos County boss Alfred Mutua has said that the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) should support development.
In a tweet on Saturday, Mutua said that all regions should receive equitable distribution of development.
In an example, Machakos governor said that it was so unfortunate that 60+ years post-independence, Likoni bridge has not yet been built, the youths continue to languish in poverty and the gap between the rich and the poor continues to widen.
"The BBI must be pro-development. All regions in Kenya should receive equitable distribution of development. 60+ years post-independence, no Likoni bridge, our youth continue to languish in poverty and the gap between the rich and the poor continues to widen," Alfred Mutua said
The Maendeleo Chap Chap Party leader said that his party aspires to have a Kenya that every citizen get an equal opportunity regardless of their background.
"As @MCC_Party, we aspire to a Kenya where every citizen has an equal opportunity to vie and lead regardless of tribe, economic situation. BBI must assure every child born of this soil of fairness and equality as well as economic and social justice." He said
Mutua reiterated his support for the initiative.
He added: "The BBI is for Kenya. As pioneer supporters of this initiative, we welcome all others wishing to support and not sabotage this noble initiative. Tuko macho, na tunajua wanajua tunawajua.God bless Kenya!"
