National Assembly Majority Leader Adan Duale has refuted claims that he has dumped Deputy President William Ruto ahead of the 2022 general elections.
Duale speaking on Tuesday during an interview at Citizen Television said there is no way he will dump his Deputy Party leader, William Ruto.
"Supporting the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) has nothing to do with abandoning DP Ruto who doubles as my Deputy Party leader ahead of 2022 polls. I wish to confirm my support to DP Ruto," stated the vocal lawmaker.
The Garissa Township MP insisted that the country should embrace the Parliamentary as proposed by the BBI team which was constituted after the historic handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga.
Duale confirmed that the ruling Jubilee Party is strong and no one will succeed in splitting the party ahead of the 2022 general elections.
He urged politicians to remain united irrespective of their political affiliations and focus on development in their respective areas.
"Elected members have a task of ensuring their areas of administration failure to which the electorates will not listen to any excuse come 2022," he added.
