Nyong’o asked his political opponents to stop their attacks on his government and give him time to implement his development agenda.

Speaking during the burial of the late Mzee Joel Orure, at Nyahera village in Kisumu West Constituency, Nyong’o said his opponents should wait until 2022 general elections to challenge him.

The governor said his critics should let his administration focus on delivering services to county residents and wait for the right time to engage in such politics.

He claimed that the growing number of critics plotting against his administration are demoralizing workers and undermining his leadership.

Nyong’o said his critics should let his administration deliver its promises adding that his government can only be fully judged by the electorate after the five years have elapsed.

“There are some people out to antagonize the relationship between my government and the people for political expediency. This is wrong. Insults will not build Kisumu,” he said as quoted by standardmedia.co.ke.

Governor Nyong’o said his administration was on track and will not be distracted adding that county residents should expect more from his government as they plan to launch different projects.

He appealed to all elected leaders in the county to come together and work as one team for the good of the electorate.
