Kenyans took to social media to express their reactions after Swedish diver Volker Bassen failed to recover the bodies of Mariam Kighenda and her daughter Amanda Mutheu.

The diver had earlier in the week claimed that he could locate and recover the bodies of the victims in the Likoni ferry accident within 2 hours if given a chance.
Shortly after Bassen announced that he could not retrieve the body as he had underestimated the search mission, Kenyans on Twitter expressed their thoughts and opinions on the matter.
A section of the netizens criticized him for not living up to his words.
Another group of cyber citizens, however, applauded the diver for volunteering to help in the search mission.
