Kenya winger Ayub Masika has joined Reading FC on loan. The talented footballer was playing for Beijing Renhe before he secured a loan move to the new club. Born in Kenya, Masika is also a Belgium citizen.
His departure to Hogwood Park pitches makes him one of the most sought after wingers in the league. Reading Manager Mark Bowen has been monitoring the transfer updates on the winger before he decided to pull the move.
"#ReadingFC can announce that Kenyan winger Ayub Masika has joined the Royals on loan until the end of the season," Reading posted on its official Twitter Handle.
Bowen has since praised him as one of the greatest players he has always admired to have in his team. Bowen said that Masika’s speed makes him one of the most resourceful players when it comes to hurting the opposition.
“Masika is a precocious talent with real speed that means he can hurt the opposition in good areas of the field. We’ve had a look at him in training over recent weeks and he’s shown good qualities,“ Bowen said.
Reading FC Chief Executive Nigel Howe has also praised him for his extraordinary talent. He has also expressed optimism that Masika will deliver at the end of the day.
