Salim Mwaluma Chongo, from Voi was on Wednesday charged with biting his son's genitals and his right leg and the rib.
Appearing before Voi Law Court Senior Resident Magistrate Fredrick Nyakundi, he denied the charges and was released on a Sh 20, 000 bail or a Sh. 50, 000 bond.
The Court had been told that this incidence happened on 13 October, 2019, at the accused home in Mwingoni village in Voi, Taita Taveta County.
According to a source who spoke to Citizen Digital, the accused had been left home with the four years old kid alone. The kids mother, and Chongo's wife had gone out.
It remains unclear the incidences that led the Chongo to commit such an offence on his own son.
The kid who sustained serious injuries got rushed to a nearby hospital where he has been receiving treatment up to date.
The kid's mother stated that the two were in good terms when she left them. She got shocked that her husband did the inhumane act on their kid.
The magistrate directed that the case will be mentioned on 30 October, 2019 before its hearing on 31 October, 2019.
The police are still investigating the matter in a bid to get to the bottom of it.
