This comes following the emergence of a clip showing her involved in an altercation with the officers, shortly before President Uhuru's arrival in Nakuru County.

The lawmaker on Thursday came out to explain the situation, admitting that there was indeed trouble between her and one of the officers.

She said that the security detail attempted to eject her from a line of leaders that had queued up to welcome the president at the Nakuru County Assembly in Nakuru Town.

She heaped the blame on a male officer and acquitted a female officer who appeared as though she was attempting to slap the senator, saying that she is the one who intervened in the wrangle.

“A male officer came and roughed me up trying to physically eject me from a line the leaders were waiting. We got into a tussle and a woman came to separate us as she was trying to calm down the situation,” she told the Standard.

This was confirmed by Njoro MP Charity Kathambi who said that the officers confused Kihika for a ward representative whom they did not want in the line.

"The MCAs obliged and moved away...when the two came back they found the senator on the line. They thought she was one of the MCAs. The male security officer shouted as he pushed her away," she said.
