John Mutinda was even asked by the wife to join her in prayers but he would not hear any of that according to media a report on the K24 Digital news portal.

He searched every nook and cranny in the house and ended up locating where the key was, jumped into the car, turned the ignition and sped off towards the CBD.

“He, thereafter, drove out at high speed,” Ruth Mueni said.

Another relative Benedict Sila corroborated Mueni's strange statement, saying that Mutinda left his home at 4 a.m after dreaming that he was being called by his late father to a meeting at the CBD.

According to the Kenya Ferry Services, John Mutinda arrived at the channel at around 4:20 a.m when he plunged into the Indian Ocean waters and drowned.
