Lugari MP Ayub Savula now says that the ongoing infighting between politicians drawn from Mt Kenya region is becoming a distraction to the country.
This comes amid a clash that erupted following Kandara MP Alice Wahome's Thursday attack on President Uhuru Kenyatta, where she termed the president an enemy of Kenya's democracy.
This has been followed by attacks from allies of the president, which Savula now says brings out the division in the region, and should be handled privately.
Addressing the press on Friday in Nairobi, he advised the Mt Kenya political fraternity to convene a meeting and address their issues without dragging the rest of the country in it.
"If Central Kenya region wants to settle scores with the president, let them convene a meeting with the president and sort out their issues without involving any other Kenyan," opined Savula.
According to the MP, it's only Mt Kenya region which is making noise currently, pointing out that all the remaining regions are silently handling their issues.
"Do you hear same warcries from the Coastal Province? There is nothing," he added.
Uhuru is yet to respond to Wahome's remarks.
