Nominated MP Gideon Keter has lamented the manner in which he has been treating a man he suspected to be a street urchin.
Isaac Nyamwamu from Bomachoge Borabu is usually seen along Parliament road 'soliciting' for money mostly from politicians and other dignitaries.
Despite his modest dressing code, he has often managed to get the attention of top leaders, with DP William Ruto being his latest host.
Keter on Friday explained how he has been ignoring the man whenever he flags him down within the busy streets of Nairobi.
"What A shame!!! We Ignore Him on Streets But DP Values HimSomewhere around Parliament road and Uhuru Highway, this man thought to be insane begger every time has been chasing my car calling me Mheshimiwa! Mheshimiwa! but haven't had time for him," he wrote.
"I took him for a normal street pauper though I don't pass him because he knows how to build rapport. After giving him what I have through the window, I speed off. How he made his [way] to the Deputy President office remains a mystery."
At Kisii, Nyamwamu usually beats tough protocol in big functions to share with MPs and other top-ranking members of the society. He's a close friend of politician Don Bosco Gichana.
According to Dennis Itumbi, he discussed with the DP about the high cost of living when the two met.
