In an interview with Citizen TV on Monday, the Garissa Township lawmaker said that he is ready and willing to prove his claims by availing himself to investigations.

He added that his history is known, and his rise to his current level, terming himself a man who rose from the lowest level, given that he at some point walked barefoot to school.

"I have a history, let them come look into my history. I went to school barefoot, I am ready. (Mimi niko na historia, wakuje waangalie historia yangu. Mimi nilienda shule bila viatu, niko tayari)," said the firebrand politician.

He also called upon Kenyans to join hands in the fight against graft, urging them to emulate President Uhuru Kenyatta's push towards crushing the menace.

According to Duale, those found guilty should be given serious penalties to discourage others from planning to venture into corruption or proceeding with their corrupt ways.

"People should be jailed, even if it is me, so that people can fear. (Watu wafungwe, hata kama ni mimi, ndio watu waogope)," he noted.
